Integran Receives Support from Canadian Government for the Development of Nanotechnology-Enabled Composite Tooling

TORONTO, ON, May 29, 2007 --[ASDWire]-- Integran Technologies Inc., announced today that in addition to their own investment, the National Research Council Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) will support the company’s efforts to accelerate the development and industrial implementation of nanotechnology-enabled tooling material (NanoVar™) for the carbon fibre composite (CFC) industry.

The NRC-IRAP support will be focused on scale-up of Integran’s patent-protected NanoVar™ technology platform to enable the production of tooling for large carbon fibre composite components such as those required for aerospace applications.

“The successful scale-up of the NanoVar™ process technology will enable composite manufacturing companies to take full advantage of lightweight, low thermal mass composite tooling in a volume manufacturing environment, and significantly reduce the cost, and production lead-times for carbon fibre composite part production” said Rich Emrich, Program Manager at Integran Technologies.

“We are very pleased to again be working with NRC-IRAP in this exciting advanced materials development program” said Dr. Gino Palumbo, President & CEO of Integran. “NRC-IRAP support has been instrumental in our company’s emergence as a leading global nanotechnology provider”
