Atlanta, May 6, 2008 --[ASDWire]-- Fokker Services, Inc. is pleased to announce that a Letter of Intent has been signed with Canadian North for comprehensive rotable spares support of Canadian North’s fleet of Bombardier DHC8-100 aircraft.

Under the three-year agreement, Fokker Services will provide Canadian North complete rotable spares support utilizing Fokker’s ABACUS program. ABACUS provides operators complete rotable inventory coverage through a combination of on-site spares, forward exchanges through a centralized Exchange Pool, component repair and overhaul, and reliability monitoring. Fokker Services supports ABACUS in North and South America utilizing their logistics center in Atlanta, Georgia, and component repair/overhaul centers in LaGrange, Georgia and Fairhope, Alabama.

Leon Kouters, Fokker Services’ Vice President of North & South American Sales commented, “Fokker Services and Canadian North have worked together for years, beginning when Canadian North operated F28’s, and more recently the F100 aircraft. We’re very pleased to be able to extend our long-standing relationship to support Canadian North’s Dash 8 fleet.

Since 1993 Fokker Services’ ABACUS program has proven to be a dependable “nose-to-tail” component support service for operators of the Fokker 50, 70, and 100 aircraft worldwide. Recently Fokker Services expanded ABACUS to include support for operators of the Bombardier Dash 8 family of aircraft, and the agreement with Canadian North marks further expansion of ABACUS for the Dash 8 in North America.

“Seriously northern”… Canadian North and its predecessors have reliably served the North of Canada for over 50 years. Based in Calgary with a fleet of Boeing 737’s and Bombardier Dash 8’s, Canadian North provides scheduled and charter service for passengers and cargo to destinations throughout the North.
