TTTech and Verocel announce cooperation on DO-178B certification

Verocel and TTTech Partner to Certify TTP COTS Solution for More Electric Aircraft

Vienna, Austria - July 31, 2006 --[ASDWire.com]-- TTTech is working together with Verocel Inc. on the certification of TTTech's embedded software components for advanced more electric integrated systems in Boeing 787. The TTTech software products based on the Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP) are compliant with the DO 178B Level A objectives, which target the highest software safety requirements. Verocel is a leader in tool-supported software certification.

The certification activities are part of TTTech's overall project with Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation for the Common Electronic Architecture in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. TTTech provides a TTP-based data communication platform that supports an extremely high level of fault tolerance, safety, reliability and availability for this architecture.

By working together with Verocel, TTTech partners with an aerospace industry expert for software certification. Verocel has extensive expertise with RTCA/DO-178B, "Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification" and is also involved in several other certification projects for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

With its embedded COTS software, certifiable according to DO-178B, TTTech addresses the requirements of aerospace and defense manufacturers for safe distributed embedded computing and networking in advanced integrated control systems.
