United States Marine Corps (USMC) Extends it Contract with Clockwork Solutions

Austin, TX --[ASDWire.com]-- The USMC is moving forward with it’s initiatives to develop and implement simulation-based predictive models to assist in life cycle management of high value ground systems and equipment. The technology will be applied to forecast system performance, workload demand, parts requirements and other support metrics as a function of usage, reliability and aging, reset as well as repair and support capacity. The contract extension will support technology licensing and consulting services across the Light Armored Vehicle (LAV), Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR), Light Weight 155mm Howitzer (LW155) and the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV).

TLCSM predictive models will provide increased usability for key system stake holders, and implement best practices to achieve the goal of enhanced principle end item asset visibility tracking and condition-based asset induction. To accomplish this requirement the Marine Corps has contracted Clockwork Solutions to provide models and modeling development, licenses, technical training, and hardware. Clockwork Solutions will obtain TLCSM outputs through its proprietary ATLAST™ predictive modeling and simulation tool.

ATLAST™ is a technology developed to assist weapon systems managers with the task of evaluating, quantifying and reducing life cycle supportability costs without adversely impacting fleet readiness and availability. It is used to predict performance metrics within operations, maintenance and supply for a single asset or series/fleet of assets. This model application provides an integrated systems approach to modeling the dependencies between an asset's ability to achieve desired operating hours and the ability of the repair and supply capabilities to respond to the demands resulting from those operations.
