M S Aerospace announces new QuikWip program to reduce fastener manufacturing lead times

Sylmar, California --[ADSWire]-- January 9, 2007 -- M S Aerospace has announced the launch of its new program called QuikWip(TM). QuikWip is designed to reduce lead times in the manufacturing process and provide better customer service for necessary parts in the aerospace fastener industry.

MSA creates blanks for qualified parts for customer so as to be able to complete parts within 15-20 days after customer triggers an order. Current market conditions have created long lead times of up to and more than 50 weeks. Long lead times places pressure on both the manufacturer and customer. QuikWip covers unplanned spikes in production needs and after market requests, and reduces the pressure on our customers.

The beauty of the QuikWip program includes improved delivery times to the customer, and rapid expedited deliveries The program is a hedge against long lead times which are now prevalent in the industry. It is an excellent cover for unexpected drop in orders, and increases the flexibility of customer requirements. The customer triggers the release for QuikWip which allows the customer maximum flexibility. Modifications are made during the maturation of the program for the customer to continually fine-tune the customer’s requirements.
