Techsphere Executes Exclusive Agreement with Vaporcor for High Altitude Long Endurance Propulsion for It's New Generation Airship Program
“Vaporcor’s propulsion technology will revolutionize the airship industry for long endurance capability,” stated Mike Lawson, the CEO of Techsphere.
“We look forward to testing Vaporcor’s solar thermal propulsion technology for flight within the year on Techsphere’s new generation airship program,” stated Ken Spence, President and Co-Founder of Vaporcor.
Vaporcor’s High Altitude, Long Endurance (HALE) propulsion uses an external combustion architecture so that heat is able to come from the combustion of fuel at lower altitudes and from concentrated solar heat at higher altitudes. Thermal energy from combustion and solar heating is stored in reservoirs so the Techsphere™ can be powered during night time conditions. This propulsion technology should allow Techsphere to demonstrate HALE operations faster than competing concepts and Technologies.
