D-SIM-JET goes NBAA, features innovations

Trebur, Germany, July 24, 2007 --[ASDWire]-- Diamond Simulation’s D-JET simulator prototype will be exhibited at the NBAA in Atlanta from September 25th to 27th, 2007. Visitors will be able to enjoy a new, hands-on flight experience and get an impression of the jet’s sophisticated avionics and interior.

The D-SIM-JET simulates the innovative D-JET from Diamond Aircraft Industries (DAI) in every particular. It is offered as FTD Level 5 and FTD Level 6+ according to FAA AC 120-45 A as well as FNPT II and FTD Level II according to JAR-STD 3A and JAR STD 2A.

The D-SIM-JET will be equipped with the new Tropos® 1000 visual system from CAE (see www.cae.com),the world’s leading manufacturer of such systems. CAE Tropos® 1000 is being integrated in Diamond Simulation’s new proprietary P2 software.

This new platform contains numerous new features such as higher functionality on the Instructor Operating Station (IOS), regular updates (navdata & software), improved interaction between IOS and visual system, an improved flight model for more realistic aerodynamics, etc.
The D-SIM-JET as well as the D-JET will be available for customers from 2008.
