Steyr-Daimler-Puch Spezialfahrzeug GmbH, a General Dynamics Company, Selected Clockwork Solutions' VisualSPAR TM
Austin, TX - August 23rd, 2007 --[ASDWire]-- Steyr-Daimler-Puch Spezialfahrzeug GmbH, a General Dynamics company, selected Clockwork Solutions’ VisualSPAR™ predictive modeling platform for modeling the reliability, availability, maintainability and supportability aspects of their armored vehicles products. Searching for applications enabling its Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team to predict and calculate the logistic aspects of the company’s contracts and supply-chain, Steyr choose VisualSPAR as the best fit and most advanced solution for their requirements.
Recently Steyr ILS personnel attended a 5-day VisualSPAR training session, and are nowadays building and initiating the system’s model and its integration to the data legacy systems of the company. The results achieved so far throw additional light on variety of aspects regarding systems performances and their relations to the logistic cycle. The model is used to determine the stock levels required for maintaining the high level of Steyr customers’ satisfaction.
Commenting about the selection and use of Clockwork Solutions’ VisualSPAR, Eng. Heinz Milchrahm, Head of Steyr ILS Department, said “We looked at a number of availability modeling tools and VisualSPAR was the only one we could be confident was capable of adequately modeling our systems. We were also impressed with the way in which Clockwork Solutions trained our modelers in the use of VisualSPAR and worked with us to develop the modeling approach."
Avinoam Doron, Clockwork Solutions Professional Service Manager, said, “The selection of Clockwork Solutions’ technology by Steyr demonstrates our unique capabilities and the value we provide to our customers. We are very proud of Steyr selecting our technology and are committed to continue supporting their predictive modeling efforts.”
