Argon Electronics delivers GBP 150k Australian DoD contracts for NASCAP enhanced chemical detection alarm systems
With separate orders of a total value in excess of £150,000, delivery of the first system was made in June 2006 with further systems supplied during May this year.
The NASCAP system is a man portable, ready-to-go rapid deployment system that allows multiple stand-alone chemical point detectors to be radio networked to a single flexible architecture base station for safe and efficient remote monitoring of the detection instrument’s status and enhanced threat reporting in the event of alarm activation.
The system allows armed forces to monitor detectors from secure locations whilst providing troops with advanced warning of chemical agent attack and allowing them to create a network of remote chemical sentries at the scene of any potential or suspected release. The NASCAP system can also be used to enhance discrete security at high profile civil events.
Argon Electronics LLP is a U.K. based specialist developer of detector networking systems and a world leader in the design and manufacture of instrumented simulation training systems for the international civil and military CBRN detection market. For more information visit: www.argonelectronics.com
