Component Control to Integrate Avtrak Corporate Aviation Maintenance Management Data into Quantum Control ERP Software
SAN DIEGO, Calif., May 11, 2009 --[ASDWire]-- Business aircraft operators who use Component Control's aviation enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, Quantum Control, will soon be able to track maintenance operations on their aircraft from anywhere in the world thanks to the imminent integration of the Avtrak GlobalNet(tm) Web-based maintenance management data into the Quantum software.
"The integration will provide two-way communication between Quantum Control and the Avtrak GlobalNet(tm) maintenance tracking system," said Component Control president Todd Lewis. "Maintenance requirement data will flow from the Avtrak GlobalNet(tm) system into the Quantum work order automatically, drastically reducing the possibility of data entry errors and increasing efficiency in the maintenance process. As the work is completed, Quantum will seamlessly update Avtrak GlobalNet(tm) system, allowing Avtrak users to monitor the maintenance progress on their aircraft."
The automatic update from Quantum to Avtrak during the maintenance process will also eliminate time-consuming manual data entry, allowing the aircraft to return to service much sooner than when the records are updated by hand. Since Quantum Control users can scan barcodes to enter part and serial number information into the integrated system, data quality can be ensured, eliminating time wasted when checking to see if an aircraft contains a particular serial number to comply with airworthiness directives or service bulletins.
"We estimate maintenance personnel will save up to 36 hours per aircraft per year when using the Quantum / Avtrak integrated maintenance system," said Avtrak CEO Joseph Hertzler, "Reduced maintenance time means the aircraft can return to service quicker and spend more time in the air."
The Avtrak integration will be included in the next Quantum Control release, scheduled for later this summer. Attendees to EBACE 2009 can visit either Component Control at Booth No. 988 or Avtrak at Booth No. 678 for more information.
