Aerial Firefighting Conference to be held in Australia

June 1, 2009 --[ASDWire]-- Following previous successful Aerial Firefighting events in Anaheim, USA and Athens, Greece, Tangent Link Ltd have announced the third event in the series. Aerial Firefighting Australia will take place at the Watermark Hotel & Spa, Gold Coast, Australia on 21 September, 2009.

Tangent Link’s portfolio of Aerial Firefighting events have quickly become established as the leading conference on the subject. Earlier events in the series have attracted a widely international audience and have provided a platform for experts in the field to share their experiences of using the latest techniques and technologies to tackle fires from the air.

Aerial Firefighting Australia will be in the format of a one-day forum and will take place just prior to the Australian AFAC/Bushfire CRC Conference 2009. This timing will allow delegates to attend both events and acquire a full appreciation of the unique issues surrounding Wildland fires in Australia.

While the CRC Conference will address the broad national issues of fire fighting, the Aerial Firefighting Forum will focus solely on aerial aspects of fire fighting and emerging technologies. The speakers will discuss and debate a range of topics relating to aerial firefighting in the Asia Pacific region.

Tangent Link Ltd is also delighted to announce that this event will be sponsored by Erikson Air-Crane.
