Component Control's StockMarket Parts Database Now Integrated with AvRef Data

SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 9, 2009 --[ASDWire]-- Aviation software solutions provider Component Control announced today that its Internet-based parts database, StockMarket, has been upgraded to include more than 80 million records of U.S. government procurement data, including Master Cross Reference List (MCRL), characteristics, and CAGE Code. The new data results from the integration of Resource Data Services’ AvRef National Stock Number (NSN) database with the StockMarket platform.

“AvRef data allows StockMarket users to view pricing from different vendors and alternate part numbers for a given National Stock Number,” said Component Control president Todd Lewis. “Since anyone can search StockMarket’s database of more than 125 billion parts free of charge, the AvRef integration provides a new level of service for the entire aviation community.”

Launched in September 2004, StockMarket allows Component Control customers to open their inventories-or portions thereof-for sale to the general public via the Internet. Anyone looking for a specific aircraft part can go to www.stockmarket.aero and type the part number in the StockMarket Part Number Search textbox. Clicking the Search button will reveal a list of StockMarket vendors who have items matching the entered part number currently in stock, plus additional information about the part, such as a description, image, manufacturing code and serial number (if applicable). The entire purchasing process can be completed through StockMarket, from the request for quote (RFQ) to the quote itself to the purchase order.

Consumers looking for AvRef pricing information can click the Price Search tab and search for parts using either the part number or NSN. Users of Component Control’s aviation enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, Quantum Control, can access the AvRef data for a specific part number or NSN from within Quantum Control inventory screens.
