Avalex Technologies Sees Growth in Military Vehicles Market

Pensacola, Florida, August 6, 2009 --[ASDWire]-- Military ground vehicles are requiring more and more of the rugged, reliable displays and digital recorders made by Avalex Technologies.

Company officials foresee continued growth in the military ground vehicle market, projecting them to quickly reach 25 percent of Avalex’s gross sales.

That’s why the Pensacola, Fla.-based Avalex is attending the Military Vehicles Exhibition & Conference scheduled August 10-12 in Detroit. The largest stand-alone military vehicles exhibition in the United States will display the latest vehicles (wheeled and tracked), components, after-market products and service solutions.

Currently, Avalex is pursuing opportunities to supply more Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles to satisfy the Army and Marine Corps 360-degree Situation Awareness (SA) requirements. Another potential large military initiative for Avalex is helping equip most tactical wheeled vehicles (TWV) with the latest technologies under the Expedited Modernization Initiative Procedure (EMIP).

“We have easy-to-use systems that have proven their toughness and reliability over and over again,” says Mark Eberhard, Avalex Director of Business Development. “We are actively pursuing military ground vehicle business and expecting more orders for our customizable solutions.”

Avalex — one of Inc. magazine’s fastest growing companies in America and Heli-Expo’s “Top 15 Most Innovative Companies” — offers solutions that are battled tested and proven in land, air and sea vehicles by its military, law enforcement and commercial customers.

Already, Avalex came up with an innovative and customized solution for the MRAP vehicle. Last year, it teamed with other companies on a $2.3 million order for the MRAP’s Vehicle Optics Sensor System program. Avalex combined its display and recorder systems (AMR products) to support the VOSS program and is currently rolling out the last of about 400 units specifically designed for the military vehicles.

Recently, Avalex began offering a new line of high-definition, wide-screen displays. The unique platform provides another option for aircraft and ground vehicles for military and law enforcement applications.
