--[ASDWire]-- The present difficult circumstances in the aviation industry have had, and are having adverse effects on all airlines. During the last year Denim Air, based in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands, has taken the necessary steps to adjust to the challenges the current economic climate poses and taking the first steps in restructuring the company. Now, having prepared itself for the future, Denim Air again expects to grow in 2010. As 2010 will mark a new chapter in the history of Denim Air, the shareholder and current Managing Director of Denim Air Mr. Jaap R. Rosen Jacobson has decided to step down and appoint a new Managing Director in this position.
Captain Roy R. de Ligt, the present Director of Flight Operations of Denim Air will become the Managing Director of Denim Air BV, per the 1st of January 2010.
Denim Air is an IOSA-certified provider of flexible aircraft & crew capacity to regional airlines. IOSA stands for IATA Operational Safety Audit, and is the strict worldwide quality-standard for airlines, established by the International Air Transport Association IATA. IOSA certification guarantees the highest possible quality and safety standards. Denim Air operates a fleet of Fokker 50, Dash 8 Q300 and Fokker 100 aircraft, and the fleet is expected to grow as further Dash 8 Q300 and Fokker 100 aircraft will enter the fleet in 2010.

Competitive prices, flexibility, professionalism and dedication to our customers are the cornerstones of our success. Denim Air has become the preferred capacity provider of regional aircraft to airlines and non-governmental organizations all over the world.
Jaap R. Rosen Jacobson:
“We expect to secure new ACMI-lease contracts in the coming months and add a number of aircraft to our fleet of Fokker 50, Dash 8 Q300 and Fokker 100 aircraft. At the same time Denim Air will need to continue on the road of restructuring the organization. This will of course result in a lot of additional work, also for the management. We are therefore very pleased to announce that captain Roy R. de Ligt has decided to accept the challenge and become the new Managing Director of Denim Air. For our company this is an enormous gain.
As Training Manager and later Director of Flight Operations of Denim Air captain Roy R. de Ligt, with a track record of almost 12 years within the company, has amply proven to be fully qualified for this complex task. I therefore will transfer my tasks as Managing Director to him in full confidence per 1 January 2010.’
