Fokker Services wins remarketing contract for two Fokker 70 aircraft
Nieuw-Vennep, March 19, 2010 --[ASDWire]-- Fokker Services recently established Remarketing Support Center has been awarded an exclusive contract to remarket two Fokker 70 aircraft, which have been operated as corporate shuttle aircraft.
Both aircraft are configured with 48 business class seats and have a range of over 2,150 nm (4,000 km). Target markets for these aircraft include corporate shuttle applications for natural resources companies around the world. Alternatively, the aircraft can be converted to full airliner specification with up to 80 seats.
Both Fokker 70s have flown less than 11,000 hours, have had recent ‘D checks’ and inspections on the Rolls-Royce Tay 620 engines and have always been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance program.
Full support in introducing the aircraft into service with the new operator as well during the ensuing mature operation is ensured by Fokker Services’ FLYFokker program, which facilitates cost-effective operations for all Fokker aircraft at least through 2020.
Peter van Oostrum, Director Aircraft Remarketing Fokker Services says: ‘We are proud to have been awarded this Fokker 70 remarketing job . It’s yet another assignment for our recently established Remarketing Support Center, which will be assisting aircraft owners and managers in placing Fokker aircraft, which have come off-lease or surplus to requirements’
