Aero Union Corp Selects Quantum Control Aviation ERP Software

SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 14, 2010 --[ASDWire]-- Aero Union Corporation, a designated Lockheed Martin P-3 Orion Service Center and one of the largest air tanker companies in the U.S., recently selected Component Control’s Quantum Control aviation enterprise resource planning (ERP) software as its business software platform at its Chico, Calif., headquarters.

“We had tried to implement a competitor’s software for four years, but it just couldn’t cover all of the diverse services we offer – from flight operations to MRO to manufacturing of aerial firefighting equipment,” said Aero Union president and CEO Britt Gourley. “With Quantum, we can tie all of those services together, increasing efficiency, management oversight, and profitability. When fully implemented, Quantum will make us more competitive in the cut-throat aerial firefighting market.”

Quantum Control is an aviation-specific ERP platform combining shop floor control, inventory management, accounting, e-commerce, sales and invoicing, and other business functions into one integrated software suite. Aero Union selected Quantum as its ERP software in March and will go live with the Quantum implementation by mid-July.
